Shakespeare and Friends Celtic Renaissance Faire
“The Age of Pirates”
Friday, March 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in Room 105 - Old School of Medicine Building, ETSU Campus
Saturday, March 29 from 10am to12 noon at Ugly Mugs, (next to the Tennessee Wings) on East Main St. in Rogersville.
Prepare a one to two-minute comic monologue or story. Perform it as a pirate!
You will be asked to do a movement improvisation. Performance resumes are not required but are requested. Please call 423-754-4495 to schedule an audition slot or send an email to: funk@etsu.edu.
ETSU Shakespeare Ensemble - Major Street Characters (Paid Characters)
1.Woodes Rogers - Royal Governor of the Bahamas
2.Sarah Woodstone Rogers- Daughter of Admiral Sir William Whetstone and wife to Governor Rogers
3. Benjamin Hornigold. – Secretary and assistant to Governor Rogers.
4. Anne Bonney - One of the most famous and ferocious female pirates
5. Edward "Blackbeard" Teach
6. John Rackham-"Calico Jack," is most remembered for his female crew
members and his outlandish clothing
7. Mary Read - lived a man's life as a sailor, soldier, and pirate.
8. Sir Henry 'Captain' Morgan
9. Stede Bonnet - an educated, affluent and respected plantation owner and
gentleman, until he decided to become a pirate. Very afraid of Blackbeard.
10 Shell-Shocked Pirate – Hits head with hammer to make a living
